Reince Preibus is the current chairman of the RNC. He’s also on my list of the top 15 conservative politicians to watch in 2012. And today, Preibus demonstrated why he made my list in the first place.

After fielding a question about the exhausting GOP Primary this Sunday on Face The Nation, Preibus thought it would be appropriate to compare President Obama to Francesco Schettino, the Italian cruise ship captain who cowardly escaped his ship after running it aground, killing at least 17 people.

“In a few months, this is all going to be ancient history and we are going to talk about our own little Captain Schettino, which is President Obama who is abandoning the ship here in the United States and is more interested in campaigning than doing his job as president.”

And don't forget that Bush allowed Osama bin Laden to escape into Pakistan so he could illegally invade Iraq. Thousands of American soldiers were killed because of Bush's follies. President Obama refocused the war on terror and ordered the Navy Seals to go into Pakistan to kill bin Laden. That's not abandoning America, that's doing the job of protecting America.

Some of the nonsense emanating from the mouths of a good many republicans relating to The President can, and at some point will make one lose his religion.
